The meeting will start with the Educational Day, on October 7, designed for the junior ESID members and will cover not only classic knowledge for primary immunodeficiencies, but also.an overview of recent developments in this field. In the congress, we intend to provide you with an interesting and high quality scientific program discussing, clinical, laboratory and molecular findings, diagnosis, prevention and treatment for common and rare primary immunodeficiencies.
Istanbul has been chosen as the city of venue during the General Essambly of ESID in 2006 meeting. Istanbul is the former capital of three successive empires, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman and honors and preserves the legacy of its past while looking forward to a modern future. It will be the cultural capital city of the world in 2010. It is a city where continents, cultures and history meet. Divided by the Bosphorus, it forms a link between Europe and Asia. I am sure that you will enjoy our beautiful city with all its colours, sounds, historic architecture and exotic markets.
I hope and expect that you will have an unforgettable stay at the XIVth ESID meeting in Istanbul. Let us meet where the continents and cultures meet.
I am looking forward to meet you in Istanbul.
Yours sincerely.
